Terms of Service
Effective date: June 2026 · SecureServe Academy™
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SecureServe Academy™ platform, including any certification programs, Professional Playbooks™, and other educational resources made available through the platform.
By creating an account or completing a purchase on SecureServe Academy™, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SecureServe Academy™. By accessing the platform or purchasing any program, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
SecureServe Academy™ reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted to this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after a modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Account Creation and Security
To enroll in a program or access purchased materials, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update that information as necessary to keep it current. Accounts may not be shared, transferred, or used by any person other than the registered account holder.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, you must notify us immediately at support@secureserveacademy.com.
3. Payments and Enrollment
All program purchases are one-time payments. SecureServe Academy™ does not establish automatic recurring charges unless a subscription product is explicitly described as such at the time of purchase.
Payment is processed through Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you authorize the charge to the payment method you provide. All prices are in U.S. dollars. SecureServe Academy™ is not responsible for currency conversion fees or charges imposed by your financial institution.
Program access is granted upon verified payment. Upon successful payment, you will receive an enrollment confirmation by email and access to the purchased program materials through your Student Portal.
Enrollments are personal and non-transferable. Your enrollment may not be assigned, transferred, gifted, or shared with any other individual. Access to program materials is granted solely to the registered account holder.
4. Refund Policy
Refund eligibility is governed by the SecureServe Academy™ Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review that policy before completing a purchase.
In general, refund requests for digital certification programs must be submitted within 30 calendar days of enrollment and are only available where less than 20% of the program has been completed and the final exam has not been accessed. Refunds are not available after 30 days or after an exam attempt.
5. Intellectual Property
All curriculum content on the SecureServe Academy™ platform — including but not limited to course modules, lesson text, exam questions, practice materials, Professional Playbooks™, and instructional resources — is the proprietary intellectual property of SecureServe Academy™.
Your enrollment grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the purchased program materials for your own educational purposes. This license does not permit you to:
- Reproduce, copy, or distribute any course content in any form
- Share, resell, or sublicense access to program materials
- Screenshot, record, or transcribe course content for distribution
- Use course content to create derivative educational products
- Make course materials available to any third party
Students may use course materials solely for personal educational purposes. Materials expressly designated as printable by the Academy may be printed for personal use only.
Violations of these intellectual property restrictions may result in immediate account termination and may subject you to civil or criminal liability.
6. Prohibited Uses
In addition to the intellectual property restrictions described above, the following uses of the platform are prohibited:
- Sharing exam questions, answer keys, or exam-related content with any other person
- Impersonating another student, taking an exam on behalf of another person, or otherwise circumventing the integrity of the assessment process
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent exam cooldown periods or access restrictions
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, the platform infrastructure, or any restricted content
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the platform
- Engaging in conduct that is abusive, threatening, or disruptive toward Academy staff
Violations may result in account suspension, credential revocation, and, where applicable, referral to appropriate authorities.
7. Nature of SecureServe Credentials
SecureServe Academy™ credentials are educational Certificates of Completion. They are issued by SecureServe Academy™ upon successful completion of a program curriculum and passing the final certification examination. SecureServe Academy™ credentials are professional development certificates — they are not government-issued licenses, state authorizations, regulatory approvals, or credentials from an accredited post-secondary institution.
SecureServe Academy™ does not guarantee employment, income, client acquisition, or any professional licensing outcome. Licensing and regulatory requirements for the professions covered by our programs are determined independently by government agencies and regulatory bodies in each jurisdiction. Students are responsible for researching and satisfying all applicable licensing requirements in their state before offering services commercially. See the Certification Disclaimer for profession-specific information.
8. Limitation of Liability
SecureServe Academy™ provides educational content and professional development programs. We do not guarantee that completion of any program will result in employment, licensure, regulatory approval, or any specific professional outcome. See the Certification Disclaimer for a full statement of limitations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecureServe Academy™ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of data, or failure to achieve a particular professional or licensing outcome.
Our aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific program giving rise to the claim.
9. Disclaimers
The platform and all content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SecureServe Academy™ does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security vulnerabilities.
Course content reflects regulatory frameworks and professional standards as of the date of development. Requirements and regulations in the professions covered by our programs may change. Students are responsible for independently verifying current requirements with appropriate regulatory authorities.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The jurisdiction and venue for any dispute not resolved through the process below shall be the courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Dispute Resolution. Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through direct communication. Either party may initiate this process by sending a written description of the dispute to compliance@secureserveacademy.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Palm Beach County, Florida, or by remote proceeding. Nothing in this provision limits a party's right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court for intellectual property violations or unauthorized access.
